Scott Worthington grew up in Las Vegas with three passions: punk rock music, skateboarding, and the Dallas Cowboys. Scott was not raised in a Christian home but came to faith in Christ at a summer camp before his senior year of high school. Shortly after being saved, Scott met who would eventually become his wife, Candace. Shortly after being married in 2008, they began building a team of Worthingtons which now include four incredible kids. Bryce (9), Averi (7), Blaine (5), and their newest addition, Aria (4) who they recently adopted through the foster care system in Las Vegas.

Scott serves on staff at Hope Church as the Executive Pastor of Hope Creative. He’s had the honor of working at Hope for over ten years now. In addition to leading worship each weekend and overseeing the creative ministry, Scott also preaches throughout the year as a member of Hope’s teaching team.

Scott is passionate about people coming to know Jesus and helping them learn how to follow him. Aside from his passion for ministry, Scott also values family discipleship, and pouring into younger men. Humility, integrity, and love for Jesus are some of the themes he uses in his discipleship of others as well as for himself. Scott strives to live in light of this gospel reminder: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
