Michelle is passionate about living out her life’s mission - “To teach, counsel, and lead people to navigate life, follow Jesus, and find their purpose.” She endeavors to live out this mission through her family, career, mentoring, and leadership pursuits.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Michelle has lived in the Las Vegas Valley for the past twenty- seven years.
She currently serves as the Director of Counseling at Lake Mead Christian Academy and the Clinical Director of the Lake Mead Wellness Center where she sees clients on a regular basis. In her position as Director of Counseling, Michelle has the unique opportunity to not only guide young people academically, but spiritually emotionally, and socially as well. In her work with the school, she and her husband have had the opportunity to take countless numbers of teenagers to many countries on short-term mission trips.
Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts in Post-Secondary Workforce Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and spent many years in the classroom before finding passion in full-time counseling. While in the classroom, she spent most of her time teaching middle and high school math courses.
Michelle received her Masters degrees in Human Services from Liberty University, Clinical Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. Michelle attends the Church at Lake Mead, where her husband, Brad, is a pastor.
Michelle accepted a position on the Ignite Life Board after catching the vision of the Refresher movement – seeing women and young ladies equipped and empowered to make a difference for Christ.
Michelle and Brad are busy raising their beautiful family: a lovely, type-A first-born, ten-year-old Taryn and six-year-old twin girls, Carson and Mackenzie. When not parenting, counseling and ministering Michelle can often be found enjoying an endless cup of coffee and a good book!
Robin Smith has a passion for equipping people to see their strengths and to lead with their unique God given gifts. She has spent the last 15 years in higher education, focusing on developing student leaders and equipping students with the skills they need to be successful in the pursuit of their education and careers. Robin has recently transitioned out of higher education to pursue her heart’s passion to help equip women coming out of trafficking as the Program Director at Refuge for Women Las Vegas.
Robin serves on the Ignite Life board, volunteers with Refresher for Women and Refresher Girls and teaches the evening class of Speaker's Workshop. She loves to teach the word of God and empower people to live victoriously on their journey with Jesus.
Robin and her husband Homer have been married for 31 years. They enjoy God’s creation by hiking, walking, or simply enjoying the sun with a good book. They have two children, Jenna and Ryne, three grandchildren, Alex, Dylan and Vincent and 1 cat - Cedar.
Erika Griffith was born and raised in El Paso, TX and moved to Las Vegas the day after her high school graduation 17 years ago to attend college.
Professionally, she is a certified public accountant as well as a certified fraud examiner and is the founder of a local Forensic Accounting firm.
God however has given her a more powerful role, a wife to her amazing husband, a bonus mom to her 2 energetic pre-teen daughters and a mommy to their 4-legged Yorkie-Son. She loves popcorn, having brunch with her closest friends, and really enjoys hosting gatherings.
Erika and her family attend the Crossing Church for many years now, and have recently joined the Southeast Campus launch team for The Crossing Church, to continue expanding and reaching other families in southeast community of Las Vegas. As a family, they have also participated in a few mission trips to Mexico and Nicaragua.
Erika understands and truly believes that life happens when you are in community with other women, this is why she is very passionate about hosting small groups and being involved with the women's ministry at The Crossing Church. Erika has learned so much from other women's experiences and life lessons that she is convince that Jesus puts us together during a season for a reason, to grow and learn from one another.
Erika knows that life is better lived and enjoyed with Jesus by her side. She has come to understand the unconditional love God has for her as His daughter. God is showing her how to be fearless, and above all else, how to love like Jesus.
Tina Willis has been married to her best friend and love of her life, Erick, for 20 years. She is a mother of three very diverse individuals who Tina credits with God using to save her life and stretch her into the person she has become today. Tina is also a grandmother to two sweet children that she refers to as “pieces of heaven”.
The overcomer of a very challenging childhood and adolescence, Tina has a passion to see others find their purpose in life through discovering the person God created them to be. She believes that knowing who you are in Christ creates the foundation to understanding His love and faithfulness in every season of life.
Professionally, Tina's eclectic background includes over 10 years of experience in working with various organizations on the development of internal system structures and event planning/management. This experience has provided her with the critical understanding of how timelines, branding/communications, team coordination, and budgets work in conjunction for delivery of successful events and projects. In her current position, Tina is responsible for the oversight and management of media communications and large special events for a company that is a worldwide leader in hospitality and vacation ownership.
Personally, Tina enjoys using her skills and talents to invest in organizations that believe in connecting and empowering individuals. Her ultimate goal is to enjoy life with the people she loves and hopes her legacy will be a reflection of her passion to better the world around her and those in it.
Erin is a speaker and leadership development professional who has been in the learning and development field for over 12 years. She has a unique ability to engage with her audience and create learning experiences that inspire change and action. She is poised, articulate and delivers her message with passion.
Erin feels that God has called her to use her professional skills to further His kingdom. She is passionate about helping people develop skills and knowledge that will empower them to answer Jesus’ call in their lives and understand how they are uniquely wired to respond to His leading.
Erin has lived in Las Vegas for 14 years and has two “furkids,” a cat named Eric and a dog named Finley. She considers herself blessed to serve with Ignite Life and is beyond thrilled to be serving on the board, teaching the Share Your Story workshop and Crave curriculum, and speaking whenever she is asked. She is humbled that God has asked her to come alongside Him to empower the women of Las Vegas!
